She breathes life into her vision as the Program Director for CodeCrew’s Code School, a transformative course designed to equip adults with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive as entry-level software developers. Students don't just learn to code here; they learn the essential life skills for a prosperous career in an ever-evolving technological world, guided by Audrey's passion and expertise.
Audrey's impact doesn't stop with her entrepreneurial pursuits. Drawing upon her vast experience spanning over 15 years in innovation and entrepreneurship, she was appointed by Mayor Lee Harris as the first Manager of Innovation and Performance Analysis for Shelby County Government in Tennessee. Audrey took the helm to revolutionize government processes, human capital, transportation, and IT, creating a better future for the citizens of Shelby County.
With a heartfelt passion for talent development, Audrey also contributes her expertise to the boards of CodeCrew and serves as the Executive Board President at LITE Memphis. Her transformative work in these roles is a testament to her dedication to nurturing talent and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
Audrey's tireless efforts to drive change and foster entrepreneurship have garnered global recognition. The BBC featured her in their prestigious "100 Women" series, profiling her inspiring journey in "Young, geeky and Black in Memphis." On a national level, Prudential Insurance spotlighted her in "The State of Us," applauding her entrepreneurial contributions that have made Memphis one of the cities with the highest rates of female business ownership.
